[title] Filter data
[path] Interact with SOV data/

See only the information that matches the criteria you specify. Use queries to filter data by specific property attributes to help with detailed analysis.

1. In a portfolio, click **Filters**.
2. Click **Add Rule**.
3. Select the property attribute you want to filter by.
4. Select an operator from the drop-down list in the middle. Refer to our [**filter operator reference**](https://docs.onarchipelago.com/filter-operator-reference) for more information about each operator.
5. Enter a value in the field on the right. If you selected **is empty** or **is not empty**, skip to the next step.
6. Click **Apply**.

The following example creates a filter that will only return properties in the state of New York.

::Image[]{src="https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/4HvvscWl1Zs1sEnn9mN1t/VLUtxKHJo3u2aY38G--WK_image.png" signedSrc size="62" width="1777" height="801" position="center" caption="Apply a Filter" alt}

You can add multiple filters at the same time to further narrow down your data. Rules are combined as "AND" conditions, so filters will only return properties that meet all the rules you specify. To filter for multiple results, use the "**includes**" option and separate your conditions by a comma (,)

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/4HvvscWl1Zs1sEnn9mN1t/3wgkvLu6hBKtCaeSFKhbz_image.png "Apply a Multi-Result Filter")

You can apply these filters to [**data you export as a spreadsheet**](https://docs.onarchipelago.com/export-data).

You can clear a filter at any time, which will also remove the filter from these visualizations. When you navigate away from the SOV, any filters you applied will clear.

- **Dashboard** - Shows a satellite map with bubbles indicating the TIV and number of properties in each geographic area, along with visual dashboard representations of your data.
- **Gallery** - Shows a picture of each property and key information about the property.

When you navigate away from the Portfolio, the view you chose will reset to the default grid view.

To get even more from your data, you can also [**apply filters**](https://docs.onarchipelago.com/filter-data) and [**gain deeper insights**](https://docs.onarchipelago.com/gain-insights-from-data).

[title] Valuation Outliers
[path] Pre-Check/

## Overview

Valuations are a critical aspect of insurance and risk management providing a basis for the replacement cost of properties. Given the rapidly increasing costs of materials and construction, many clients’ valuations are outdated, leading to potential underinsurance. Archipelago’s new Valuations Outlier Detection is designed to address this issue by notifying you of properties that lie outside the statistical norms for their area and building type.

## Challenges

Many clients have not updated their property values in years. This may lead to under-insuring a property, especially in this climate of rapidly increasing construction and material costs.

- Risk of Insufficient Coverage: Outdated valuations can result in properties being underinsured. This means that in the event of a loss, the insurance payout may not cover the full cost of replacement.
- Risk of Penalties: Insurance policies often include conditions that penalize underinsured properties. If the replacement cost coverage is not accurate, clients may face significant financial penalties during claims.

## Benefits

- Save Time and Cost: Archipelago’s Valuation Outlier detection utilizes the data of millions of valuations of our platform across all states and occupancies to determine if a given building is over or undervalued compared to similar buildings in their area. This reduces costs and saves time by pinpointing the group of buildings that may need a new appraisal instead of re-appraising the full portfolio.
- Optimize Coverage: By continuously updating and verifying property values, Archipelago’s Recommendation ensures more accurate insurance coverage, protecting clients from potential underinsurance penalties.
- Ensure Informed Decisions: Updated valuations provide brokers with the data needed to advise clients accurately, helping them decide whether to seek additional valuation information so that they can accurately adjust their insurance coverage to reflect current replacement costs.
- Build Advisory Reputation: Equipped with accurate data, brokers can provide more informed advice to their clients, enhancing their advisory role and client trust.

## How the Valuations Feature Works

1. Uses data from millions of buildings: The feature queries millions of properties on our platform to obtain a replacement cost per square footage range, factoring in variables like building location and occupancy.
2. Diagnostic Tool with Recommendation: Brokers upload the Statement of Values (SOV), and the Recommendation evaluates the replacement costs, highlighting under- or overinsured properties.
3. Prioritized Action: The tool prioritizes properties that need appraisals, guiding brokers to recommend necessary adjustments to clients.

The feature is included within the Archipelago platform fee, making it a cost-effective solution without additional hidden charges.

Ground up AALs are calculated based on the latest SOV on platform, taken directly from Verisk AIR modeling. We run the AAL modeling results after data transformation, and standardization in the app, meaning that any information provided, enriched, or transformed via engineering rules and mappings are included as part of the AAL calculation.

The loss ratios are then calculated using AAL value divided by the TIV of the portfolio to derive a percentage of the loss ratio.

The Users page allows you to manage users, including adding new ones and assigning roles.

## User Management

The Users Page is accessible through the navigation menu. The page shows all Users belonging to an Enterprise Account, Direct Customer Account, or Underlying Customer Account.

![all users are listed](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/4HvvscWl1Zs1sEnn9mN1t/eIEF25j2xsh-oCIvGHvQJ_image.png)

## Add a New User

To add a new user, navigate to the Users page from the main left navigation menu and then click the "Add" button in the top right corner of the screen. In the flyout, add an email for the new user and select the desired user role. You can only assign roles with lower permissions than your own.

![](https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/4HvvscWl1Zs1sEnn9mN1t/r_SKxyptFU8Y_5xQ6EB-5_image.png)

## Assign a User Role

Role assignment is an important part of the user management process. A role is assigned when the new user is created or when the user is required to have additional permissions.
To change a user role, navigate to the Users page, search for and select the user, and update the selected role in the flyout.

## Roles and Permissions

Archipelago has roles to fit every customer or user.

- **Leader - **Leaders with a team or teams that manage a book of business.
- **Admin -** Accountable lead on an account; should manage roles for supporting team members.
- **Editor - **Team member supporting an account and needs full edit access.
- **Contributor—Users** who are responsible for editing or adding specific properties but don’t need access to the full SOV.
- **Reviewer -** Users who only need to view the SOV or export SOV-related files, such as model-ready files.
- **Doc Uploader** - Users who only need to upload documents associated with an SOV and do not need to view SOV data.

## Changing Primary Contact

Update the primary contact to ensure the right person is associated with a client account. **Only **admins can be a primary contact.

1. Navigate to **Client Accounts.**

[title] Submission Process
[path] /

Once your SOV data is on Archipelago, you can streamline submission by giving the market access to your SOV.

## What we provide to share with Underwriters:

1. The Archipelago SOV is available for download to you and the markets you share with. No need for an additional attachment.
2. Model-ready location files are also available for download and are always automatically aligned with the latest data in your SOV.

## To prepare for submission:

1. Finalize your SOV updates prior to submission
2. [**Upload**](https://docs.onarchipelago.com/lk0B-upload-documents) any marketing materials for underwriters (i.e. policy documents, loss runs, etc.) to the library. See how to Manage your Submission documents [**here**](https://app.archbee.com/docs/8rRJA2WwHmft_o9cluFEd/EDK2MAppyHbkqL3Rkc0iH).
3. [**Update the snapshot**](https://docs.onarchipelago.com/FCJV-sna)
 1. Recommended naming convention: 2024-Submission -XXXXX-XX-XX
 2. Check "market visible" and deselect any previous snapshots you don't want visible for underwriters

## How to share with Underwriters:

1. Open the SOV view you will be sharing (not My Properties), copy the URL, and share the URL directly with underwriters
2. Underwriter domains are automatically whitelisted, so they can view (not edit)
 1. If the domain isn't whitelisted, or the underwriter has any issues accessing, they can request access through Archipelago support
3. You can see "reviewers" who have accessed your SOV via the Users Page

[title] Analyze changes
[path] Interact with SOV data/Gain insights from data/

Compare two sets of portfolio data to see what's changed and how those changes affect the portfolio as a whole.

## Analyze changes on the Archipelago

1. In a portfolio, open the **Latest** dropdown menu and select the snapshot you want to compare the current portfolio data to.

![](https://assets.usepylon.com/7862f6a7-edd0-482c-a081-cfc09ce5d201%2F1773077650638-image.png?Expires=253370764800\&Signature=sTcmzUSy3O9TmatvemoJeKXCDnwM1vzYeULFia7kxiaQmKoL5ktZC4p-4xOZf1Y9O8A6obG19CZy-Re6FFPgcx06zbrs9-q0nfyn3EUHpXWEI1JRrsMt24IvavIuH444g7yRfz0Lnf7vobS9h14qc3KTEMI8XVZhqvBpMY7AUwMPVYf6vflJXkPe4eAZmBQbcznYVCb8N-3ZI9KgZO5AWx0MOXjbMzhwjesepWXuWis4ICQUfbmo23IZzsaeNwm2MbSKPS3DOKyS51vMFm9-BZeBEYWWLtFJwOqhdNLv6dS5NM3Tt2UlNEegebgN-ijY~S2psC7HD4b1DZY0AgVcnA__\&Key-Pair-Id=K3NV4LZ47N8M46)

The platform highlights differences directly within the grid and organizes properties into the following categories:
**New** — Properties that have been added since the selected snapshot.
**Ongoing** — Properties that exist in both datasets.
**Disposed** — Properties that existed in the previous dataset but are no longer present.
**No Change** — Properties with no detected updates. You can select any status card to filter the grid and focus only on that category of properties.

![](https://assets.usepylon.com/7862f6a7-edd0-482c-a081-cfc09ce5d201%2F1773077502864-image.png?Expires=253370764800\&Signature=pBwPe4RyyjPXvlV25QA1k9Bw~amRoKQJI5VHiLicMdN0izmhOcfOcKPMozQUx-dDHvTy57HukzsyAxWFVUMXc9SZOTCPgIl2CJYxCxt6CdhUQw0QUmq9SGq~Ab4MoSVyb0dvlumUdcEFoONovg40v67Rvh9B8e9sueoPoC0bn0Nm3zRegc~qXykWkr9gMUdCr7m6e1yDhTxw-udMUmX4wHqA~UCA70IKC-tAqiOW2lHp-GCgslPkK4WqTO~BKtQpxhVgFt9q6JyWOkhyE3TX60XQ7NhXcV65OY5UIYweVaGJwL1Vr01g41JZcT9j3fXbilPKhSAZtImNod2SbQXGkA__\&Key-Pair-Id=K3NV4LZ47N8M46)

## **Understand Change Indicators**

Cells within the grid are color-coded to make updates easier to identify:

- **Green** — New data has been added.
- **Yellow** — A value has been modified. *Hover over the cell to view the previous value.*
- **Red** — Data has been removed.
- **Clear** — No change detected.

These visual indicators allow you to quickly scan the portfolio and locate updates without manually comparing datasets.

**Filter Changes by Provenance**

Use the **Provenance Types** dropdown to filter updates based on the origin of the data. This allows you to understand where specific changes in the portfolio came from.

Available provenance types include:

- COPE Prefill
- Document enrichment
- Mapping Rules
- User Edits

**Analyze Portfolio Trends with Pivot By**

Use the **Pivot By** tool to summarize value changes across the portfolio. Selecting a field (such as State, Region, or General Occupancy) groups properties and displays a variance summary comparing the selected snapshot with the latest data.

[title] Data Additions
[path] /

## **COPE Prefill**

In the process of ingesting your data, we have an integration with Corelogic to add any missing COPE information.

## **Document Enrichment**

When you upload documents, Archipelago AI automatically fills in missing property data, enhancing the completeness of your SOV and modeling.

Recommended documents to resolve PreCheck recommendations and populate property data with AI document extraction:

- Property Condition Assessments
- Roof Inspection Reports
- Flood Elevation Certificates
- Seismic Risk Analysis
- Loss Engineering Reports
- Valuation Reports

If you need something different than this, please reach out to support\@onarchipelago.com.

## **Rule Based Data Additions**

Rule-based attribute transformation is based on engineering mechanics, structural engineering design practices, building code requirements, regional construction practices and hazard-specific considerations to add secondary modifiers based on existing information provided. Archipelago’s experienced structural engineering team develops the rules and, after technical peer review, deploys them as part of our SOV Ingestion process.

[title] Insights
[path] /

**Dashboard - **once your client SOV is on Archipelago, insights on data changes and portfolio statistics are available for data-driven decisions.

**Activity Log - **At a glance, understand the work being done to update the SOV data.

[title] Dispose of properties
[path] Manage properties/

If a property is no longer part of your portfolio, dispose of it to remove it from your current views and reports. Disposed properties will still be available in historical snapshots and when doing snapshot comparisons.

## Dispose Properties ([**Video**](https://onarchipelago.wistia.com/medias/zurngoe95f))

1. In **My Properties**, select the **checkbox** next to the Property you wish to dispose
2. Click on **Item Selected** and Choose **Dispose**
 ::Image[]{src="https://archbee-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/4HvvscWl1Zs1sEnn9mN1t/Va08-HQlKc8U0P9h7JDPf_image.png" signedSrc size="54" width="610" height="391" position="center" caption}

It can take about 20 minutes for the platform to process the disposed property and update relevant views.

Archipelago does not delete your data; it just marks the property as disposed and removes it from the current Portfolio set of data.
