Filter data
See only the information that matches the criteria you specify. Use queries to filter data by specific property attributes to help with detailed analysis.
- In a stream, click Filters.
- Click Add Rule.
- Select the property attribute you want to filter by.
- Select an operator from the drop-down list in the middle. Refer to our filter operator reference for more information about each operator.
- Enter a value in the field on the right. If you selected is empty or is not empty, skip to the next step.
- Click Apply.
The following example creates a filter that will only return properties in the state of New York.

You can add multiple filters at the same time to further narrow down your data. Rules are combined as "AND" conditions, so filters will only return properties that meet all the rules you specify. For example, the following filter won't return any results, as one property cannot exist in two states.

You can apply these filters to data you export as a spreadsheet. Adding a filter also changes the data you see in explorers and summary metrics. You can clear a filter at any time, which will also remove the filter from these visualizations. When you navigate away from the stream, any filters you applied will clear.
