Assign roles

To control market access on Archipelago, you need an Administrator or Manager Market Access role.

As an Administrator or Manager, assign roles to the people you want to interact with a stream.

The default role is Viewer, but in some cases you might want someone to change someone's role. For example, if you're a risk manager with the Administrator role, you could assign the Manager role to your broker so that they can manage stream viewers for you.

Before you can assign roles to viewers, define your viewer list to give people access to your stream.

  1. In a stream, click Manage Stream > Market Access.
  2. On the left, click Viewers.
  3. In the Role column, use the dropdown menu to select which role you want the user to have. Refer to our Market Access roles reference for details about each role.
  4. Repeat step 3 for every person you want to assign a new role to.
